UIHP Mentor Pool Development Program Held at the University of Chittagong

The University Innovation Hub Program (UIHP) successfully concluded a three-day Mentor Pool Development Program at the University Innovation Hub Venue, University of Chittagong, with the goal of building a strong and qualified pool of mentors to support student entrepreneurs and foster a culture of innovation across campus.

The program commenced on April 18 with virtual opening remarks by Manjur Muhammad Shahriar, Project Director – UIHP, followed by a warm vote of thanks and official opening by Prof. Dr. Md. Al Amin, Dean, Faculty of Science – University of Chittagong.
 
Throughout the three days, Ahmad Zakir Bin Jafar, Trainer – UIHP Mentor Pool, conducted insightful and interactive sessions on mentorship techniques, innovation strategy, and startup incubation frameworks—equipping participants with practical tools to guide emerging entrepreneurs.
 
The program brought together nearly 50 faculty members and professionals from various departments and institutes of the University of Chittagong, as well as participants from across Bangladesh, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-rich environment.
 
The closing ceremony featured a Certificate Giving Ceremony in the presence of:
  • Prof. Dr. Yeahia Akhter, Honorable Vice Chancellor – University of Chittagong (Chief Guest)
  • Manjur Muhammad Shahriar, Project Director – UIHP (Special Guest)
  • Professor Sayedur Rahman Chowdhury, Focal Point – UIHP CU & Director, ICT Cell CU (Special Guest)
These distinguished guests delivered impactful speeches emphasizing the importance of mentorship in shaping the future of innovation and entrepreneurship in academia.
Also present at the closing event was Nahiyan Bin Abdullah, Senior Officer – UIHP, who actively supported the implementation and smooth facilitation of the three-day program.
The event was coordinated by Shakib Ahmed, Campus Manager – University of Chittagong, whose dedication and leadership ensured its successful execution.
 
At the end of the program, all participants were awarded certificates, officially joining the UIHP Mentor Pool-empowering them to serve as future trainers and facilitators in the university innovation ecosystem.
 
The University of Chittagong extends heartfelt congratulations to all newly certified mentors and thanks UIHP for organizing this impactful capacity-building initiative.
